My best friends little sister was bit by a spider a few days ago. While I was visiting them, her bite became swollen, warm, and itchy so I grabbed Purify and Lavender and applied it directly to the bite.
Purify is doTERRA's Cleansing blend and contains powerful oils that fight bacteria and will help fight off the venom of the spider bite.
Lavender is a natural antihistamine and will help with the itch and inflammation.
Both of these oils together help neutralize the inflammation and bacteria which helps with the itch and pain.

Before Topical Application of Lavender and Purify |
One Hour Later Slightly brighter lighting but you can see the inflammation and redness has gone down |
Consistency is KEY with essential oils! For best results, I recommend applying oils every hour or so the first day. Then about 5 or 6 times throughout the next few days and gradually decreasing usage as the bite heals.
I also recommend...
• OnGuard - taking it internally in a capsule and applying to the bottoms of feet a few times a day to boost immune system to help your body fight off the venom and bacteria.
• Colloidal Silver - 1 tsp under the tongue for 30 seconds. Repeat 7x a day for short term immune support in addition to OnGuard. Can also apply a drop directly to the bite wound.
• Warm compresses and Epsom salts to draw out poison.
Spider bites can be scary stuff! Thankful for these options!
